Driver Pay and Benefits

Experience, skill, and a safety mindset are foundational to trucking. We offer pay and benefits that reflect the respect we have for our drivers and the families they support. Learn more about our benefits HERE!

Holiday Pay:
$200 paid for six major holidays

Paid Home Time (Dedicated):
Accrues at $24.04 weekly with yearly increases

Longevity and Loyalty Bonus (OTR + Teams):
Starts at $1,250 Annually with yearly increases.

Clean Inspection Bonus:

$50 - $100 per clean inspection, depending on level of inspection

Safety and Performance Bonus:

Additional $0.04 CPM, paid quarterly

Breakdown Pay: $200

Detention Pay: $25 per hour after the first 2 hours

Layover Pay: $150 per occurrence

Loaded Minimum Move Pay: $25 for each assignment

Annual Pay Increase:
$0.01 CPM pay increase every year for first 3 years (OTR and Teams)

Orientation Pay: $500

Per Diem:
$0.06 - $0.12 CPM depending on position to cover daily expenses on the road (included in CPM)

Stop Pay:

$25 for each stop made after the first stop

Weather Pay:

$150 per occurrence at the discretion of Operations

Million Mile Safe Driver Bonus:

$0.01 CPM for achieving one million safe driving miles and above

Referral Bonus:

$3,000 for each successful driver referral (ask a recruiter for details)

Ultimate Driver Challenge

Setting the standard for safety is part of our mission. The Ultimate Driver Challenge was developed in 2022 to recognize our professional truck drivers who’ve reached elite distance milestones and clean safety records in their driving career with Hummer. Recipients are displayed in the Driver’s Lounge at our Homestead Terminal, a trophy is presented to drivers’ families to proudly display, and an annual celebration are a few ways we celebrate the best of our best.
