Company Driver – 12 Nights Out

Your home time is important. You shouldn’t have to guess when you will get home, so we put it right in the job title.

With Hummer you know you will be out 12 nights before heading home again. The 12 Nights Out position is what you'd think of as OTR (over-the-road) position where you get home every other weekend; 12 nights out followed by 2 nights at home.

Due to drivers spending more consecutive nights on the road, 12 Nights Out drivers typically see longer mile loads and run to areas which takes longer than 5 days to get out and back. These drivers haul a mix of dry van and reefer freight and must be available to run any area of the country.

Some drivers elect to stay out longer than 12 Nights in order to take more consecutive days off.

Employee Testimonials

"Hummer is a great company to work for. I left a bigger company that your DM and big bosses knew you by driver number, here they know you and treat you with respect. All trucks are only a couple years old, at most and well maintained. Family is key here, you tell them when you want to be home and they make it happen."
