Company Driver – 5 Nights Out
Your home time is important. You shouldn’t have to guess when you will get home, so we put it right in the job title.
With Hummer you know you will be out only 5 Nights before getting home again.
The Company Driver – 5 Nights Out position is what you may think of as a regional driving position, meaning you are home every weekend. You only run where we can be sure that you get home on time. The standard schedule is out Sunday and back home Friday.
The hiring area for this position is limited so we can always get you home when promised. If you want to stay out longer, our 12 Nights Out position has a larger hiring area.
Drivers that qualify for this position will spend 5 Nights Out on the road, followed by 2 consecutive nights at home every week. Drivers leave Sunday and return home on Friday. Most drivers leave mid-day Sunday and run until mid-day Friday. Alternative schedules are evaluated on a case by case basis and depend on driver home location and customer demand.
Drivers can expect to be home every Friday mid-day and are expected to leave mid-day Sunday. Drivers will know their dispatch time before they are done for the week on Friday.
The hiring area for the 5 Night Out position is limited to areas where our freight patterns allow for home time commitments to be met. Your operating area will vary based on your home location. Loads will be dry van or reefer, and the length of haul will vary based on customer demands and available drivers’ hours.
