Safety Meeting Recap

Yesterday we held our final safety meeting of the year. Hopefully, you were able to join us, but if you weren’t, here is a quick recap of some of the things that happened!
Hy-Vee joined us to provide flu shots, health checks, and 
to give some healthy tips.
We have partnered with Rolling Strong to provide some extra health-related services for our employees. These services include bio-screenings, open access to eight thousand health-check stations, telephonic coaching with CDL coaches, a health check station available in the driver lounge, and much more! We also have a CDL Wellness Coach available 20 hours a week. She will be able to discuss any health-related concerns confidentially, create wellness plans, and to assist with any questions you may have. We will be posting her schedule shortly.
On October 21, 2016, our shop went a consecutive 1,095 days (3 years!) without a lost-time accident. Congratulations! Keep up the good work!
Winter driving is coming – remember to do a thorough pre-trip inspection, check for frozen brakes, carry appropriate clothing, blankets, boots, etc. Watch for snow or ice on top of trailers - this can be dangerous. Always make sure your windows, mirrors, and lights are operable and clean. Most importantly, stay safe and be aware of dangerous winter conditions.
