Hummer Healthy Habits: Cold or Flu?
During cold and flu season, it is all common to confuse the symptoms between the two. The flu is only caused by influenza viruses, while the common cold can be caused by several different viruses. Typically, the flu is worse than a common cold and symptoms can be more intense and abrupt. Symptoms of a cold are usually more mild than those of the flu. The most common symptoms of a cold include a runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, and sore throat. Some of the more common flu symptoms are fever, chills, and fatigue. The flu can have serious complications whereas it is uncommon with a cold. Check out the chart below fro the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) for more signs and symptoms.
